Meet Our Founder

Hey there! I'm Sharmaine Anderson, the Founder ​and CEO of Clerkish.


As a Preschool Director for over 15 years, I found myself feeling overwhelmed, burned out, and unsupported ​for many years. There were so many things in the office to get done, but the classrooms also needed so ​much of my attention. I was so burned out that my passion for my career was depleted! I was averaging 60 ​hours of on-site hours each week on top of taking work home. I couldn't continue much longer. I needed a ​change.

So, to get back to my wellness, I decided to develop a Leadership Team consisting of my most ​devoted, enthusiastic teachers and support staff, supported by systems, committees, and software. ​This was a game-changer for my mental wellness!

The Leadership Innovators Collective" is delivered in a cohort-style format, emphasizing collaboration and peer learning. The course spans five ​months, with participants meeting twice a month for 1-hour sessions. Each session combines engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and expert ​insights to create a dynamic and interactive learning experience.

Each cohort consists of a small group of early childhood program ​directors and owners who believe their program can benefit from ​creating a Leadership Team of their very own teachers and ​support staff.


Over the course of the cohort, the Clerkish team facilitates the ​formulation of your center's Leadership Team and supports, such ​as processes and software to sustain an efficient program without ​constant direct oversight.
